We need some amount of cholesterol in our body to carry out important functions and reactions. Cholesterol becomes bad when the levels of low-density lipoproteins or/and very low-density lipoproteins become very high in our body. These components are called “bad cholesterol” and are responsible for causing unwanted health ailments like atherosclerosis, fatty liver syndrome, etc.

Living a healthy lifestyle, exercising for at least 30 minutes everyday, following a healthy balanced diet, quitting smoking and maintaining an ideal body weight will help a great deal in reducing cholesterol levels in the body.
