What To Expect During The First Trimester Of Pregnancy ?

During the first trimester of pregnancy the fetus is still very small and in the shape of the egg. You can hardly notice that you are pregnant. At this time your body will be normal and still adjusting to the hormonal changes that take place in your body. Due to the hormonal changes you could experience several symptoms like giddiness and nausea and morning sickness. You may hate some food smells and also become sensitive to smell and touch.

Some women feel a lot of heat in their body and, therefore, may have break outs in their skin. Some women on the other hand because of the estrogen levels have extremely good skin. Their skin is glowing and they develop nice texture and sheen. All these are due to the constant hormonal changes that are taking place within the body.

For some women, the morning sickness may be worse where they have a lot of nausea and for some women, the morning sickness could be low or not present at all. Also, abdominal pain is common in the 1st trimester for several women.

During the 1st trimester, do not expect too much from the baby inside you as there will be no movement and you will hardly realize you are pregnant. You will be still dealing with the symptoms of pregnancy and also mood alterations. It is only after the baby starts moving in your womb that you start enjoying your pregnancy. This could happen only in the second trimester and any time after the fifth month starts.
