There are many indications of pregnancy, some of which start showing up much before a missed period as well.
The list of pregnancy symptoms includes tenderness in the breast, darkened aerolas, blue veins on the breast, mild fever, fatigue, sluggishness, frequent urination, abdominal pain similar to the kind that occurs at the time of menstruation, morning sickness, headache, dizziness, gas, heartburn, constipation, bloating, sudden food cravings and aversions.However, none of these can provide an absolute assurance of pregnancy and therefore, a pregnancy test should be conducted for authenticate the same.
The presence of a brown discharge is also common during pregnancy. Such type of spotting occurs mainly in the early stages of pregnancy. For some pregnant women, this could be a symptom of pregnancy taking place at about 15 days from ovulation or nearing the date of one’s menstruation. However, as in the case of various other pregnancy symptoms, verification through pregnancy tests is a must to validate conception despite the brown spotting.
There are primarily two reasons for the occurrence of brown discharge. Firstly, this could be the body’s natural mechanism to eliminate old and dry blood present in the cervix. Reason for accumulation of such blood could be a tear in the cervix probably due to copulation. Slight spotting could take place as a result of this. However, if bright red spots are seen, then medical assistance must be sought. Secondly, brown spots of blood are common in early stages of pregnancy. This type of spotting is a consequence of the process of implantation and is therefore referred to as implantation bleeding. This indicates the burrowing of the embryo into the uterine wall, an act that occurs approximately 2 weeks after conception or 4 weeks from the time of the last menstruation.
In instances of pregnancy, as long as it is just brown spots alone, there is no cause of worry. However, if brown spotting is accompanied by bad odor and cramping, then one definitely requires a medical check up at the earliest. Such indications could suggest a potential miscarriage. It is always prudent to get the required investigation done so as to put the mind at rest since panicking or any kind of tension during pregnancy may cause further complications. Even in cases of threatened miscarriage, early diagnosis of the problem and medical assistance can at times save the pregnancy.
