When Will Puberty Start ?

Kids need to understand that puberty is a natural process that takes place in both boys and girls in different ways. Both of them might experience changes which are again quite natural. These changes will happen over a period of time and hence parents are requested to tell them about the same once you notice some growth in your child.

Girls might observe these changes before boys. Girls might undergo puberty at the age group of 10-13. The initial advancement begins in the breasts and within six to seven months they develop into fuller breasts. Secondly, after your breasts develop fully you might experience periods or the menstrual cycle.

Boys might also develop changes at the age group of 11-15. They will suddenly notice hair on the chest, shoulder, face and genital areas. They also experience erection at night followed by secretion. Girls might also notice some white sticky substance that is normally discharged. Boys might find changes in their voice followed by hair on the face. They will become taller and find their body stronger.

Hands, fingers, trunk, chest, feet and chest do show major changes and suddenly they might notice muscle formation. This whole process of development will take two or three years after attaining puberty. Puberty is just the beginning of changes. Hence, you are advised to keep yourselves clean every day by changing clothes regularly, washing and keeping your body clean. Do switch to deodorants when you step out as sweating is another factor that comes into picture. Do take the help of elders, parents and counselors or even teachers if you experience guilt and unpleasantness. Keep asking questions to your trusted associates who will surely release the burden from your head.
