Puberty is the natural process than occurs in both boys as well as girls. It is a universal process and certainly not optional. You have to go through it whether you like it or not. The changes are definitely different in both of them. Boys tend to gain weight. They start observing changes in their body as the shoulders gets wider. There is a change in their vocal chord too as they now start sounding manly. The easily visibility of Adam’s apple is another change that occurs along with the rest. Your voice will start cracking and would appear stern. The important change happens with your testicles and penis. The size changes and you also start observing hair on your face, chest, shoulders, and stomach, chin and private areas.

You might also notice small hair on your face which slowly as years passes off turns into a beard. You might also undergo erections at night which happens naturally. You will also face wet dreams and sudden change in your whole appearance. You might suddenly look tall and feel sexually active. Sudden mood changes, hormonal changes can also make a lot of difference. You also might find it difficult to share problems with family and hence, it is advisable you share it with your friends or a counselor. Ask them any number of questions that might sound embarrassing to you.

Ensure that you have a healthy diet as it will affect your health and you would unnecessarily put on more weight than required. Also, look out for books on sex education and things to do during puberty. These things will surely help you to control some of your mixed emotions.
