Puberty is the natural process that takes place in a girl that changes her to a woman. It leads to many physical, sexual and emotional changes. These changes occur at the age group of 9-16. Girls will tend to experience this process well before boys. It can be sometimes be a difficult moment too.

There are lots of changes that take place at that moment and hence, it is advised that you talk to some trustworthy person who would help you at such times. Parents need to be extra careful with them as they will suddenly experience mood swings and uneasiness. At the time of puberty the brain starts releasing hormones that will definitely cause extreme changes in your body. You will suddenly put on weight, grow taller and experience changes in certain body parts like breasts and hips. You will notice public hair in your armpits, legs, face, groin, chest, backs, stomach and arms. Girls might notice their thighs become curvy followed by breast development.

Females might also notice a white or yellow discharge during such time. Do not get alarmed with this as it is quite natural. Your skin turns to become live as the skin releases oil and odor.

Boys might experience erection and will begin to develop sexual feelings. This is the right time to educate your children about sex education. Also, talk to your parents and doctors if you have any unpleasant feelings running across your mind.

Hence, girls and boys need to be extra careful as this stage. You cannot avoid this unpleasantness in any way as it will keep affecting you for minimum a year till the changes occur completely.
