Vitamins For Dementia
Many people suffering from dementia seek alternative methods of treatment. One such method is treating the person with vitamins. Some experts claim that vitamins for dementia can help in easing out many the symptoms of the disease.
The following are the list of vitamins and minerals that would be helpful for patients suffering from dementia.
- Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) - A low level of thiamine would result in weak nerves. If the nerves are weak, they will be unable to send the signals properly. Therefore, Alzheimer’s and dementia can be very well related to low levels of thiamine. Dosage would be 30mg to 300mg depending on the conditions.
- Vitamin B3 (Niacin) - Few studies have suggested that low levels of niacin has some connection to dementia. It is therefore suggested that a dose of 50 to 100mg may help to slow down the progression of dementia.
- Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) - There is very probably no link between low levels of Vitamin B6 and dementia.
