How To Heal Open Wounds Faster ?
Do you have a wound that never seems to heal and caused you pain and agony for a long time? Is an ugly, open wound in a conspicuous location causing embarrassment in public? Are you prone to accidents and have a tendency to get inflicted with wounds quite often?
In all these cases, you would want your wound to get healed faster. Here are a few tips and guidelines on how you can heal an open wound safely and faster.
- The very first step is to seek medical attention, which become all the more important if the wound is deep, looks already infected, or was caused by hazardous or non-sanitary substance. Depending on the type and severity of wound, an appropriate treatment is done by the doctor to speed up the healing process and prevent infection.
- Usually, infection or development of pus in the wound slows down the healing process. Infection can be avoided by cleaning the wound using alcohol, applying antibacterial ointment, and bandaging it immediately after it occurs. If you do not have an antiseptic lotion or cream at time of injury, clean the wound and cover it with natural antibiotic substances, like onion paste, garlic paste, ginger, turmeric powder, and/or honey.
- Make sure the bandage used to wrap the wounded area is changed frequently.
- Once the wound gets dried up and begins to heal, avoid using bandage and let the wound get exposed to fresh air. This would speed up the healing process.
- Commercially available products, like Band-Aids and Would-Be-Gone, can also be used for quick healing.
