Bruises are the injuries on the skin, which occur when the minute blood vessels are injured when they are hit with a hard force. It affects the tissues beneath the skin surface. The blood from the blood vessels flows into the tissues, which rises up the bruise. In medical terms, bruises are known as contusion.
Bruises generally leave a black or blue mark on the skin. It very commonly affects children while they are out at play or anywhere due to slight carelessness. Here are some home remedies that would help you treat bruises.
- One of the effective remedies for bruising is to use apple cider on the bruise. Take a few drops of the cider on a cotton gauze before applying it on the bruise. It should remain on the bruise for an hour at least.
- Another way to heal bruises is through parsley, which is known for its therapeutic properties. You can crush some parsley and apply it to the affected area. It will provide a healing touch to the bluish and black scars.
- Cold water helps in a long way in reducing the pain. It is also helpful in letting the swelling subside.
- Taking in sources of Vitamin K would help in the clotting of blood to help you recovering faster from bruises. You can consider having alfalfa as a source of Vitamin K.
- Tea is also very useful in dealing with bruises. Not only does it takes care of the pain but it also helps in lessening the marks left by a bruise. Take a cloth and soak it in comfrey tea before applying it on the bruise.
