How To Stop Hemmoroids From Bleeding ?

Hemorrhoids are a common disorder that most likely affects 50% of the adults at any point of time. Although there are a number of causes leading to hemorrhoids, the common reasons can be attributed to constipation, progressive old ageing, pregnancy and a sedentary lifestyle.

What causes hemorrhoids during the phase of constipation or pregnancy or old age is the lack of flow of blood from the lower end of the body due to poor bowel clearance. It strains the veins in the anus and in the rectum, causing hemorrhoids. Bleeding in hemorrhoids can be internal and external. A hemorrhoid is likely to bleed when it becomes thrombrosed, which means it was scratched or pinched when the internal hemorrhoid came out of the anal canal. They need to be treated promptly to reduce the bleeding and pain.

Treating Bleeding Hemorrhoids:

There are creams and ointments available that when applied on the area outside the rectum eases up the blood vessels and soothe the inflammation. It also prevents the further growth of the hemorrhoid although it can return back. Pills are given mainly to control the pressure of the blood and reduce the strain. It squeezes the vein tissue preventing the further damage of the hemorrhoid. However, pills have known to cause allergies in some patients and they are also an expensive option.

There are also suppositories available for treating hemorrhoids. The application is inserted into the rectum, which moisturizes the hemorrhoid and lubricates the rectal area. This kind of treatment ensures that the hemorrhoid does not crack or split again. But, depending upon the gravity of the hemorrhoid, it might not always give excellent results.
