Tamiflu Side Effects

Tamiflu is a brand of a class of H1N1 anti viral drugs consisting mainly of Oseltamivir, which has been established as an effective treatment against swine flu, or H1N1 influenza. Tamiflu is available as both a vaccination and in capsule form. However, the vaccination is considered to be more powerful and effective.

The side effects of Tamiflu are limited, but consist of flushes, headaches and chills upon excessive ingestion or vaccination.

Tamiflu research has made headways and breakthrough in the recent years with many alternative versions of the drug made available under the same brand name of Tamiflu in drug stores. Tamiflu vaccinations are very powerful in containing the spread of the H1N1 virus or even preventing the spread between individuals by contact. Although the drug was introduced into the market in the late 1980s, it has recently made great strides and developed into many versions, which have been clinically and legally approved for therapeutic purposes.

Considering the negligible side effects of Tamiflu, it is a safe enough treatment for swine flu. Clinical studies involving live subjects have shown positive results with the drug, which is well tolerated, and the interactions with other drugs are also limited to a few.

Tamiflu vaccinations are more powerful than other forms of ingestible tablets because of the metabolism that is accelerated with vaccinations. The gastrointestinal method of ingestion of Tamiflu takes some time to start taking effects, and the half life of the drug is longer than a vaccination. This means that the drug is retained by the body for a longer duration of time when ingested through the stomach compared to the vaccination.
