Prozac has some common, few uncommon and some severe side effects to it. The active ingredient in Prozac is fluoxetine hydrochloride. These can be accompanied by chest pain and severe weight loss at a rapid pace. If one notices these serious symptoms progressing very fast, a doctor should be seen immediately. However, this can only happen if there is an overdose of the medication. It is unlikely for Prozac to cause fatal accidents when taken alone.
