Purpose Of Mobic For Burn

Mobic is used as pain killer and is a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug. Most of the pain killers are either narcotics or steroids. However, Mobic is not either. This makes Mobic more popular for treating inflammation. There are several applications of the medication.

One is that it is used to treat people suffering from rheumatoid and osteoarthritis. The primary symptom in both the conditions is inflammation of the muscles and joints. Mobic works by controlling the hormone which is causing inflammation. It is a very effective medication to control pain.

In case a person has suffered severe burns, then he or she may be going through a lot of pain. In such cases, anti inflammation drugs like steroids and narcotics cannot be prescribed. Mobic can also treat pain and that is why it is used for patients who have suffered second or third degree burns.

Meloxicam is the active ingredient in Mobic, and it can treat pain without interfering with other pain killing medications. Burns also cause muscle and tissue pain.

However, only a doctor should prescribe Mobic in case of an injury. It is a prescription medicine and is available only in minimal dosages. It can be used for minor burns but on doctor’s prescription only.

The most common application of the drug is for arthritis and other kinds of joint inflammations. Some people may also injure their joints and this often leads to inflammation. Mobic can be used in such cases also for temporary treatment in hospitals.
