Kenalog Injection Side Effects In Women
Mostly all medicines have their set of side effects, and Kenalog injection is no exception. Following are some of the side effects caused by taking Kenalog injections. However, there are patients who could be exceptions as they may not suffer from these listed side effects.
Some of Kenolog side effects in women are as follows:
- Increased blood sugar level.
- Augmented appetite and weight increase.
- Enlarged susceptibility to infections and magnified severity of infections
- Symptoms like indigestion or abdominal swelling, nausea, ulceration in the stomach or intestine, swelling of the pancreas (pancreatitis).
- Ulceration or thrush disease in the throat

- Thinning of the bones (osteoporosis) and higher danger of breaking bones.
- Side effects on the skin, such as thinning, damaged healing, acne, streak and stretch marks, more chances of sweating, change in pigmentation, and rapid hair growth (hirsutism).
- Psychiatric reactions are also a part of the side effects which include mood swings like bouts of happiness, sadness, irritation and suicidal tendencies. Psychotic reactions which include development of illusions, hallucination, and daydreaming. The other side effects include nervousness, perplexity, memory loss, and sleep disturbances.

- Menstrual imbalances
- Sodium and water retention
- Increase in blood pressure and this could result in hypertension.
- Decrease in the levels of potassium in the blood
- Reduction in the making of natural steroids by the adrenal glands
- Side effects on the eyes include development of glaucoma and cataracts
- Sluggish growth in children and adolescents
- Disturbing hiccups
- Blood masses in the blood vessels
These side effects which have been listed above are rare occurrences and happen when this medicine is infused into or around a joint. The main side effects due to joint injection are momentary augmentation of pain and swelling, or giddiness.
