Wondering how yeast can cause blisters on the skin? Read on to find out more. Yeast infection is common in females but is also prevalent among males. Although there are several reasons for yeast infections, lowered immunity is one of the primary causes.
Yeast infections are caused by Candida albicans, a fungus responsible for causing blisters. In males, scaling of the skin coupled with itching is very common. The blisters are formed on the cutaneous membrane of the skin. Redness and rashes are common. They are very painful too. This condition is called “cutaneous candidiasis”.
Cutaneous membranes in the body are generally moist and are easily susceptible for yeast infections. Fungus thrives on moist conditions and therefore penis and armpits are common areas for fungal attack. These blisters are painful and itchy as well. Scratching the area or bursting the blisters is a complete no-no. This will only aggravate the condition further and spread the disease to other parts of the body. Constant itching can even cause the underlying layers of the skin to be exposed, aggravating the condition further.
If you observe rashes that are extremely painful or itchy, it is advisable to consult a doctor immediately. Because these symptoms closely resemble genital herpes, finding the exact cause can get a little tricky.
Diabetes, obesity, prolonged antibiotic treatment can trigger a fungal attack in males. Timely treatment and getting a medical check up when the blisters are in their initial stages will considerably decrease the severity of the infection.
