Early Shingles Symptoms

Shingles is nothing but formation of blisters on the face and skin of the body. These blisters look bad and are very painful. Most patients suffering from shingles will always feel ill. The early symptoms resembles to flu. The symptoms can also be nausea, chills, headache and fever. They kind of appear in two forms namely prodromal and eruptive.

Basically the prodromal stage prevails just 5 days prior to the formation of rashes. The major symptoms will involve numbness, burning sensation, irritation, itchiness, shooting pain on the face. Secondly, during the eruptive stage, the swelling does appear on the palm followed by blisters. The new blisters arise immediately and can also be scattered on the skin. They now do not contain virus. This rash can disappear in a couple of weeks. There are no scars left and the skin might be slightly discolored. Normally, shingles appear on arm, buttocks, leg, torso and waistline.

There is intense pain associated with shingles. If you consider or think you suffer from any such symptom, it is high time you shift to a doctor. There are many antiviral treatments advised for it and early precaution would be better. Once, the symptoms have already formed controlling the pain would be extremely difficult. These creams would help the blisters to heal and leave no scars absolutely. If you do not go for any treatment, these blisters may take 5 weeks at a max to heal. Hence, it is advisable to follow the treatment. Sometimes it can turn severe and might take years to heal. For adults and people above the age of 50, oral prescriptions like FAMVR are available. Consumption of this can shorten the period and pain. Most people have almost seen the difference within 4 days.
