Cause Of Parkinson Disease

Parkinson’s disease is a common and widespread disease throughout the globe. This disease is caused due to the progressive mutilation of the cells called as neurons in the brain. The part of the brain is called as substantia nigra, where the cells (neurons) start deteriorating on a continuous basis.

These neurons are important for the brain as they are the vital elements that help in communication between all parts of the brain. When these neurons function inside the brain, they produce a very important chemical called dopamine. This chemical dopamine acts as a messenger helping in communication between the substantia nigra and other area of brain called as corpus striatum. This communication is necessary as the coordination relaxes smoothes and balances muscle movements. The lack of dopamine may have adverse effects in the body. The primary effects cause the loss of control over body movements and irregular nervous operation.

The studies and research done on the Parkinson disease has not provided a valid reason for how the Parkinson disease occurs, and what causes the neurons to get impaired. It is been confirmed from certain studies and research that the Parkinson’s disease is passed on hereditarily from one generation to another generation. This concept related to the genetic transfer of Parkinson’s disease has been surrounded by controversy. The genetic abnormalities pertaining to Parkinson’s disease have been found in small number of families leading to illness. While the majority of people suffering from Parkinson’s disease do not have any genetic abnormalities, the people who are detected with Parkinson’ disease in their early life has this genetic problem. The pollutants present in the environment may also cause Parkinson’s disease. The pollutants present in the atmosphere destroy the dopamine neurons in the brain that causes Parkinson’s disease. The toxins that pollute the environment such as carbon disulfide, manganese, carbon monoxide and some other pollutants may cause Parkinson’s disease.
