All organs of the body are cardinal to its healthy functioning. Kidney becomes important as an organ since it is responsible for filtering the waste byproducts released in the body owing to the chemical reactions within. Failure of kidney functioning, thereby results in the accumulation of toxins in the body.
There are certain indications that the body starts giving as the disease progresses. If one is vigilant towards these initial symptoms signifying a kidney disease, preventive steps can be taken at the appropriate time to hinder complete renal failure.
Some of signs of kidney disease include puffiness around the eyes, especially in the morning, having swollen legs or the entire body, experiencing a burning sensation at the time of urination, red colored urine, increase in the frequency of urine, back pain, elevated blood pressure, and fatigue. Having mentioned these initial indications of a kidney disorder, it is important to know that at times the kidney may retard to an extremely irreversible level without giving any noticeable symptoms at all.
Gradually as the disease escalates, the repercussions become more pronounced. Since the kidney is a very potent organ of the human body, its failure results in hampering of the function of all body systems. This condition leads to a symptom complex called uremia. The onset of the symptoms of uremia indicates renal failure, and the only treatment possible comes in the form of dialysis or a kidney transplant.
The symptoms of kidney failure include weakness, fatigue, appetite loss, nausea, vomiting, unexplained weight loss, decreased urine volume, abnormally dark or light skin, changes in nails, itching, tingling sensation in the feet, pain in the bones, breathlessness, nosebleed, blood in stool, amenorrhea and edema.
