Interstitial cystitis is considered as a chronic bladder disorder that may lead to pain as well as other similar symptoms. People suffering from interstitial cystitis generally have inflamed and irritated bladder walls. This may the lead to various other problems such as stiffening and scarring of the bladder, reduced bladder capacity as well as lead to bleeding from the lining of bladder. In extreme cases ulcers may also be formed within the lining of the bladder.
The actual reasons for interstitial cystitis are still unknown to people. But the fact is that the symptoms may vary as per individual cases, still some of the most common warning signs include discomfort, tenderness, pressure or severe pain in bladder as well as around the neighboring pelvic region. Other symptoms may involve an urgent urge of urination and frequent urination and even a combination of these symptoms. This health disorder may be treated with the help of measures such as oral medications, bladder installation, dietary changes, exercises, therapies and surgical methods.
