Coronary heart disease is a condition where the coronary arteries are blocked. This is mainly caused due to a bad lifestyle and habits like smoking or drinking excessively.

A person with coronary heart disease is prone to high cholesterol. So, they should make changes to their diet and should avoid all cholesterol causing foods, including oily and fatty foods. They are advised to have less than 200 mg of cholesterol everyday. Exercise becomes a must against all odds. They have to start exercising so that the body uses up the excess fat, and does not allow it to collect in the arteries.
Some of the foods that cure the condition are vegetables diets, oat meal, whole grain, fruits and legumes. Doctors recommend cutting out meat completely from the diet. Also, the recommendation is to do away with alcohol and smoking completely from the day to day life. One should take a dietary approach that can control hypertension, as this a common fall out from coronary artery disease. Stress can also lead to heart strokes in such people. Daily exercise helps to improve the condition, and the recommended form of exercise is cardio workouts.
