High blood pressure which is known as hypertension in medical terms is quite dangerous and can bring some of the most harmful effects if not diagnosed at the right time. If one gets to know about its development later a long time, then several other issues may arise out of such ignorance which may turn really painful in future.
Hypertension as is known as silent killer includes several risks and damages that can be brought about to the human body by such conditions. One of the most important concern regarding these things would include the damage that hypertension may bring to the heart. There are several different kinds of heart damages that can be caused due to high blood pressure. These include issues like coronary artery disease, which is known to affect the arteries that are actually responsible for supplying blood to the entire body. It can further result in various other heart related problems like enlarged heart and heart failure.
Besides damaging the heart, it may bring changes in the functioning of brain as well and, thus, may lead to various issues like transient ischemic attack, stroke, dementia, and mild cognitive impairment. It can also affect and damage the kidneys as well which comes in the form of kidney failure, kidney scarring and kidney artery aneurysm.
Apart from all the above mentioned damages, it can also damage the eyesight. It needs to be understood that such consequences may arise after many years as it progresses slowly but once it reaches advanced stages, then it gets really difficult to control it in future.
