There is no particular treatment for herpes as such and there is no medication that would kill the virus directly. Herpes is caused by a HSV virus. The herpes causing virus HSV resides in the nerve endings of the central nervous system. These viruses can be triggered as a response to stress or also some types of food. They come to the surface on the skin and then start replicating at faster pace.
