Hepatitis Symptoms

Symptoms are the signals a body shows to make us aware of the presence of certain harmful foreign particles in our body and also the means with which it tackles the problem. However, there are certain diseases or infections which do not show any symptoms or signs initially. So the victim could not take the necessary actions to cure the problem early on and, thus, has to suffer disastrous results later on. Hepatitis is one of these diseases.

The term hepatitis comes from the Latin word, “hepa”, meaning liver and “titis”, meaning inflammation. So, hepatitis is the condition of the inflammation of the human liver, which may spread to other parts if left ignored for a long time. This inflammation can be caused by a lot of reasons and exhibits various kinds of symptoms. In total, there are five known types of hepatitis from A to E.

Here is a general idea of the common symptoms of all the types of hepatitis infection. Jaundice is a major symptom of this disease. Even though jaundice does not confirm the attack of hepatitis virus, it is still strongly recommended to go for the necessary blood check up to be sure. Apart from this, feelings of nausea, fatigue or weakness, tendency to vomit, losing appetite are some of the other symptoms of hepatitis disease. Also, if one is passing darkened urine and pale colored stool, he should seek immediate help from the doctor about possible hepatitis attack.
