However, there are clinical trials going on to check out the efficacy of a new vaccine that has been developed by Sanofi Pasteur. The clinical trials are in the late human study phase. In these trials, it was seen that the immune system responded well against 4 serotypes after the test subjects were given 3 doses of the vaccine. The initial trials have suggested that the vaccine is safe and most people will be able to tolerate it without any serious side effects.

If the human trials are successful and the vaccine is launched into the market, it will be the first dengue fever vaccine that would be available to the people. Many healthcare professionals from countries where dengue is endemic are eagerly waiting for this vaccine as it will be able to prevent dengue infections.
