Signs Of Prostate Cancer In Men

Prostate cancer in its early stage does not show any distinct signs.

So, it is very difficult to know the presence of this type of cancer in men. Generally, patients are identified because of other diseases. These symptoms are not seen only in case of prostate cancer. There are a number of diseases in which the patient exhibits the same symptoms. This is the reason why doctors are not able to recognize the symptoms of prostate cancer.

However, following are the signs of prostate cancer in men:

There is a frequent urge to urinate. Also, while going for urination, the patient might face some problems. They may wish to urinate, but maybe unable to do so. Even if they can pass the urine, the flow of urine is very little and the person will not feel relaxed. Since the flow of urine reduces significantly, the patients’ bladder remains full. Thus, it is also called as full bladder sensation.

Urine contains blood and the patient will also experience pain while urinating. In addition, the patient will experience a pain in the pelvic region.

In order to correctly diagnose prostate cancer, the person will have to undergo a special test known as PSA test, or prostate specific antigen test. This is the only test, which is known to be very effective in determining the presence of prostate cancer in men. The PSA test checks for the presence of prostate specific antigen in blood of the patient.
