There are many different types of drugs that are used to treat cancer. Some of the drugs used to treat cancer are chemotherapy drugs, biological agents, and hormone therapy drugs.

The drugs used to treat cancer ultimately depend on the type of cancer and the stage of the disease. If a drug cannot cure the disease, then doctors still prescribe certain other drugs to either prolong the patient's life or to improve the quality of the patient's life.Different cancer drugs work in different ways. Biological agents are used to improve and build the body's immune system to fight the cancer.
