Anthrax is a type of disease caused by the anthrax bacteria which is mainly found in animals. However, the disease also affects people when we come in contact with the bacteria. Vaccinations are available to prevent anthrax and it has to be taken thrice over a course of three months. Anthrax is caused by bacteria called Bacillus anthracis. These bacteria live freely in certain kinds of soil. It produces spores and these spores can survive in the soil for several years. Anthrax is prevalent all over the world and it is more common in countries that lack proper hygiene conditions.
