Detox diets once in a way are good for health and help to rejuvenate the body. They also play an overall role in weight loss.
Some people undertake severe detox diets for many days to lose weight. However, that should only be done under a physician’s advice and guidance, or it can be detrimental for health.First of all, it is very important to understand what a detox diet is and what its benefits are. A detox diet is used to remove or eliminate all the harmful chemicals and toxins from the body. On a daily basis we consume several kinds of foods, and some may be beneficial for our body, while some may be just additional calories. Almost all types of food leave residuals chemicals, acids and other toxins in the body. Typically, a healthy body should flush out all these toxins and wastes. Sometimes, the body does not do this, and for people who have health problems the main reason may be the leftover toxins. For example, people who smoke will have high level of toxins in their body.
In order to remove these toxins and residues, one has to undertake a good and effective detox diet.
Rice is a good diet to detoxify. However, it should be had in small quantities. Some grains like millets, quinoa and lentils are good for detoxification. Split beans are very good detoxifying agents. Vegetables like beans cooked in olive oil make the detoxification process more effective. Even a handful of nuts are very good as a part of your detox diet. However, the challenge with this diet is that you should have only detoxifying foods, which means that you would have to be very selective and particular about what you consume.
